Counselling service for homeless migrants (especially unregistered EU mobile citizens), including registration in the Danish System, contact with authorities, and preparation for the job market.

Kompasset’s rights-based counselling addresses the legal and social needs of homeless migrants who lack registration in Denmark and access to public assistance. Professional and multilingual staff offer essential guidance on registration, work permits, housing, labour rights, and healthcare. Assistance is also provided with lost documents, bank accounts, job contracts, and CV preparation, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated support.

Beyond the daily counselling work related to registration and access to the Danish labour market, Kompasset is actively involved in addressing the broader issues of homelessness and migration. Through an investigative approach and close contact with people experiencing homelessness and living on the streets, systemic challenges are identified and highlighted when change is needed.

Through continuous advocacy, efforts are made to ensure that all individuals, regardless of background or legal status, can exercise their rights and are treated with dignity and respect.

The counselling service is founded on a rights-based approach that enables people to navigate complex systems and make informed decisions. Kompasset is accredited by Rådgivning Danmark and serves as both a member and coordinator of the Migrant Network.

The Kompasset team comprises staff and volunteers from a diverse range of countries, speaking numerous languages. This diversity fosters trust and strengthens the ability to provide tailored support that meets the actual needs of those seeking assistance.
